The quarantine period is 14 days. Therefore, you must stay in quarantine for 14 nights to complete the full quarantine period.
If you are in mandatory quarantine at a government provided accommodation, you can check out of the accommodation on the 15th day of quarantine.
If you are in home quarantine you can leave home on the 15th day of quarantine at the time of day you entered quarantine. Public Health Services will contact you on Day 12 or 13 to check if you have any symptoms.
In either case, if you develop any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 throughout your quarantine, you should call your GP or the Public Health Hotline on 1800 671 738 to get tested. Tell them about your symptoms and that you are currently in quarantine. If you have serious symptoms, such as difficulty breathing, call Triple Zero (000) and ask for an ambulance. Tell the operator and the ambulance officer that you are in quarantine.
If you develop any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 after leaving quarantine, you should call your GP or the Public Health Hotline on 1800 671 738 to get tested. Tell them about your symptoms and that you have recently been in quarantine.
